Parsley Tea

Parsley tea is folk medicine you can easily make yourself.

You can use flat leaf or curly leaf parsley for any tea or recipe. I like flat leaf, I think it has more flavor.

Parsley is high in Vitamin C, Vitamin A, chlorophyll, iron, calcium, sodium, magnesium and more. I use it to build my blood with the iron and my bones and teeth with the calcium. Women need parsley for the iron and calcium.

It also helps the adrenal glands, benefits the optic and brain nerves, strengthens digestion, and helps the urinary system. It's a diuretic and relieves water retention.

A Warming Tea

both Chinese and Ayurveda medicine say parsley tea is warming. So if you have inflamed kidneys, it may not be for you.

But me, I feel cold in winter, so I am building my blood with the help of parsley. I feel drawn to it, so I trust that instinct.

The tea is rich in minerals and vitamins, so it's a good herbal nutritional supplement. And it's cheaper than some fancy potion at the health food store.

Parsley Tea

2 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley leaves

1 cup water

Put the parsley in a mug. Boil water in a small pot, then add water to the mug. Let steep 5 to 10 minutes, then strain.

the taste is mild, smooth with a touch of chlorophyll flavor.

1 ume plum (or 1 Tbsp lemon juice and pinch of sea salt)
