Salad Dressing Recipes, Easy and Fun
Salad dressing recipes are easy to create. All you need is the right quality ingredients. You can mix up a little dressing at a time for your green salads, grain salads, bean salads, pasta salads, baked potatoes and steamed vegies. To make your dressing, start with the basics: oil and vinegar. Then add on creaminess, sweetness, herbs, spices, salt and more.
Here's some ideas for ingredients in your salad dressings. Oils: Extra virgin olive oil, flax oil, sesame oil, toasted sesame oil, tahini,( a butter make with ground sesame seeds) almond butter, peanut butter, grapeseed oil Vinegars: rice vinegar, apple cider vinegar, balsamic vinegars, lemon juice, lime juice, umeboshi vinegar (a salty and sour vinegar) Creamy: tahini, silken tofu, almond butter, wet mustard, yogurt, soy milk, miso paste, peanut butter Gentle sweets: stevia, brown rice syrup, maple syrup, orange juice, honey, apple juice, apple sauce Herbs and spices: salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic, parsley, cumin, oregano, dried herbs, ginger juice, hot peppers, fresh herbs: parsley, cilantro, basil I make my simple "house dressing" that contains olive oil and rice vinegar, in a pretty dispenser bottle on my counter. I use it daily and add salt, pepper, and anything else I feel inspired to add. I like a lemony taste, so I often add lemon on my salads. Easy!

Salad dressing recipes #2: Creamy Tahini-Miso 1 tsp mellow white miso (yellow miso) 1 tsp tahini 1 tsp olive or flax oil 1 tsp water or more to thin Put in a small jar, shake it up, and serve on your salad
Salad dressing recipes #3: Sweet and Salty Tahini Dressing 1 Tbsp wet mustard 1 tsp tahini 1 Tbsp rice vinegar 1/2 tsp stevia (1 packet) 1 Tbsp olive oil Pinch sea salt 1 Tbsp water to mix 1 tsp brown rice vinegar This dressing is creamy, sweet and sour. Mix in a bowl or a small jar and serve over greens. You can substitute almond butter for the tahini or peanut butter.
